Overview

Art/Volunteer Services is responsible for the professional care of the 91爆料's growing art collection. The collection consists of a rich and diverse range of artwork that has been given to President and Mrs. Carter or to 91爆料. The art intern will also work closely with Volunteer Services and may assist with 91爆料 events.

Number of Interns per Semester: 1

Program Preferences

• Background in museum studies or art history
• An interest in museum registration, education and/or curatorial work
• Experience working with databases is desirable
• Advanced research and writing skills

Typical Projects

• Assist in registration and management of the Center's art collection.
• Maintain computerized and written records.
• Catalog new acquisitions as well as assist with inventory or appraisal.
• Work on installation and minor conservation of art.
• Conduct collection research and appraisal assistance.
• Work on docent training materials.
